Van Schaick and Sanderson Mill

Van Schaick and Sanderson Mill

Today I added a page about Isaac Van Schaick, husband of Eliza Sanderson. Isaac served as a congressman and was part owner of the E. Sanderson Company and the Schoonmaker Quarry. Isaac and Eliza’s page can be found here.

I also added the page I had written for the flouring mills. I am sure those will be changing in the next few weeks when the corporation papers come in at the library. I hope to add some details about what happened to mills. In one of the estate papers I read, it said the stock of E. Sanderson was worthless in 1903. I suspect there was a decline in the need for flour, but also the deaths of the principal owners, Edward in 1889, Willliam Jr. in 1893 and Isaac retiring in 1894, the company went down hill or just dissolved. More about the flour mills.
